In creating the brand identity for Vera, I sought to elevate the brand and establish a distinctive presence in a crowded market. Drawing inspiration from Gemma Stanley’s striking, handcrafted creations—rooted in the grandeur of the Medieval period—I aimed to reflect the artistry and craftsmanship of a bygone era while positioning Vera as a unique, modern jewellery brand.

To embody the regal essence of the Medieval era, I chose a blood red colour palette, evoking the richness and royalty of the time. The wordmark was designed to be timeless and elegant, capturing a sense of grandeur that aligns with Gemma’s bespoke pieces. A recognisable brand symbol with subtle Medieval undertones was created to reinforce the brand’s heritage and artistry. The design system is highly typographic, using type as a key visual element to further elevate the brand’s refined and artisanal identity. This cohesive approach ensures Vera stands out with a sophisticated, memorable presence in the jewellery market.
